Hi,

today i came up with an idea.
Pick up some opensoure music from modtracker or similiar, convert them to a suitable format and generate a beatmap / made it manually.
Then in game Harddroping / Clear lines at the correct time which adds Points.

I don't have any concept so far, but people seem to like it.

Here is some example ( with youtube running in background )
Have to note it's hard and i did not have much practice yet

What is osu!?

Have to note that there is no specific idea on how to do it. However, seems that much people tend to like that idea!

From where do we get the music? I know that there is music around which is free to use for non-commercial things but the music for this idea has to match certain criteria like different phases, audible rhythm, not to much rhythm changes, a certain length etc. I really like this idea since this would also suit very well into the fast paced nature of the game. Please elaborate! And of course feel free to experiment with implementation!

How about just presetting upcoming lines to music (like survivor) and:

  1. either one alone has to clear lines to the rhythm
  2. or the lines have to be cleared at the same time to the rhythm by the team members to get points (against the other team). The better the clearing (simultaneous to the rhythm), the more points.
