Sentiment Chat Application

A private chat application made using Firebase to prevent inappropriate comments on Youtube. Winning project at I-HACK hackathon held at IIT Bombay

Sentinel is an application that we made using web development and machine learning to prevent the occurence of cyber bullying. In today's world with social media dominating every individual's life, cyber bullying is a major issue. Thus in order to reduce that we came up with this solution.

Sections:-

  1. Flask API -
  • Uses pickle from a custome tailored model and provides response to requests directed to it.
  1. Web App
  • A simple HTML-CSS-JS page which has basic chat window and Youtube Video embeddded to simulate real world applications of project.
  1. Android App
  • Chat application made using Firebase and Android Studio which simulates the use case of The Sentinel in everyday chats.
