Seems like I cannot find 1.28 of cri-tools on my debian for 1.28 install of kubernetes.

https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/devel:kubic:libcontainers:stable/cri-tools

Will that be an issue for my installation?

You can try those if you want: https://kubernetes.io/blog/2023/08/15/pkgs-k8s-io-introduction/

It's a bigger problem when you try to use the new cri-tools on the older clusters:

So the packages on Kubic and the packages on Google are not updated, on purpose.

Another example is that critest 1.28 removed support for Docker, for cri-dockerd.

The Kubernetes project currently lacks enough contributors to adequately respond to all issues.

This bot triages un-triaged issues according to the following rules:

  • After 90d of inactivity, lifecycle/stale is applied
  • After 30d of inactivity since lifecycle/stale was applied, lifecycle/rotten is applied
  • After 30d of inactivity since lifecycle/rotten was applied, the issue is closed

You can:

  • Mark this issue as fresh with /remove-lifecycle stale
  • Close this issue with /close
  • Offer to help out with Issue Triage

Please send feedback to sig-contributor-experience at kubernetes/community.
