Fix a bug that caused the wrong result length when using --chunk-size and --selector together

Hi @wojtek-t, I just cherry-picked this fix to
1.24, the version I tested with problems,
1.23, the version provided by bug reporters,
1.22 just because we are still maintaining,
1.21 just because we are still maintaining, the End of Life of 1.21 is 2022-06-28.

Feel free to close them, I submitted them in a hurry because I might be busy with other things afterwards😂
