Known issues with current draft:

  • Improving naming
    • Instead of types named *Builder, I am considering *ApplyConfiguration
    • Instead of package named typebuilders, I am considering applyconfigurations
  • Generate interfaces and remove "ensureInitialized" hack
  • Add direct FromUnstructured support in UnstructuredConverter to avoid round trips through JSON
  • Generate DeepCopy functions?

Does this PR introduce a user-facing change?:

Add typesafe Apply support to client-go's typed client.
