Problem:
https://kubernetes.io/docs/reference/generated/kubectl/kubectl/ link to GitHub is not active.

Proposed Solution:
I don't know. Probably it is Hugo bug that doesn't automatically link URLs. Maybe removing dot in generator will help.

The page mentioned is auto-generated. See kubernetes/kubernetes#56512 .
Even the patched version still cannot provide an effective link because the text will be used to render both command line output and the input for downstream markdown file generation at https://github.com/kubernetes-incubator/reference-docs.
Please consider close this issue because there doesn't seem a quick fix in the near term.
