i was thinking some more about a remark Steven had a while ago of wishing to be able to make a complete mixdown in Blue. This would involve compression, equalizing and all sorts of other (post) production effects.
Right now, finetuning with EQ and other post production mixing tools must be done in another program. But it is much better to, when composing, be able to set those effects right away as part of the composing process.
And, again looking at Reaper, we could have on every SoundObject its own 'effects' (EQing etc.). These effects would be part of the ScoreObject Properties.
This also would imply that a few Java widgets should be available, so the EQ or compression can be easily set or changed. These effects can be used globally (on an entire instrument), but also per SoundObject.
