lacyyy's CS:GO script collection

Here are some useful scripts and configs, mainly for Bump Mine practice. I've also added scripts I used for reverse engineering CS:GO's game mechanics, but they are not explained or ready-to-use.

I will publish updated versions here. Check the change log for recent changes to the files.

"Will I get banned for using this?"

No! These scripts only work in your offline server and they don't get you VAC banned or anything! However, if you join official servers after using ".nut" scripts locally, you can get kicked. Restart the game to not get kicked again. If you run ".cfg" configs on an official server, you can get kicked too, avoid executing those.

How to Download, Install and Use

  1. Download all scripts and configs in this collection by clicking the big green "Code" button on this page and then selecting "Download ZIP".

  2. Copy the files you want to use from the ZIP folder to the correct installation directory, depending on their file type:

    • Copy files ending in ".cfg" to <YOUR-STEAM-INSTALL-LOCATION>/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/csgo/cfg/

    • Copy files ending in ".nut" to <YOUR-STEAM-INSTALL-LOCATION>/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/csgo/scripts/vscripts/

    • Note: On Windows, Steam is installed to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/ by default.

  3. Now in CS:GO, load an offline map and:

    • Start using files ending in ".cfg" by entering exec <FILE-NAME> into the game console. Don't include the ".cfg" ending in the command prompt.
    • Start using files ending in ".nut" by entering script_execute <FILE-NAME> into the game console. Don't include the ".nut" ending in the command prompt.
    • All of the practice scripts become really useful once you bind them to a key! For example, enter bind r "script_execute bm" into the game console to reset the Bump Mine practice (using the bm.nut file) each time you press the R key! You can change the key to any other key.

Bind ".nut" scripts: bind r "script_execute <SCRIPT-NAME>"

Bind ".cfg" configs: bind r "exec <CONFIG-NAME>"

[Outdated] Caution!

If you join official servers after running ".nut" files with script_execute in your local server, you will be kicked with the message "Pure server: client file does not match server."! Luckily, this won't result in a ban or cooldown. To avoid this, simply restart your game after using ".nut" scripts, if you want to play on official servers afterwards. [Note: Official CS:GO servers no longer exist]
