Optical Filament Sensor

This filament sensor is based on the same principle that makes optical mouse work. The sennsor used in here is an ADNS9800 and the processor is an ESP8285. The filament moves infront of the optical mouse sensor and the surface property and speed of the sensor is used to determine runouts and jams.

Green - Normal Operation, Red - Filament Runout, Purple - Filament Jammed

The various settings of the sensor can be set from the web interface. The device exposes itself as a SSDP service.Below is a acreenshot of the web interface.
