perl-cross provides alternative configure script, top-level Makefile as well as some auxiliary files for perl, with the primary emphasis on cross-compiling the source.
Since version 0.9, downloads are available on the github releases page.
For older releases check the releases branch.
Alternatively, clone the git tree and run 0pack.sh to get a usable tarball.
