What is the app property in "initialises with an app" test? #202

Is there any links to explain where this property comes from?
Also, there is an error appearing on this test when noImplicitAny is true, and I wanted to know the best way to solve this.

The test was redundant from an old version. There is no app property, the test was passing (false positive) as not.toBe(null) is true for undefined

I've removed it: d12d8ca
