Environment

Joplin version: 2.13.2
Platform: Desktop
OS specifics: Ubuntu 23.10

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a very, very long note
  2. Enable the beta editor
  3. Try to edit it
  4. Add a log statement just above this line in both the CM5 and CM6 editor files
  5. Recompile and re-run
  6. Observe how frequently the log statement is called in the CM5 and CM6 editors

Describe what you expected to happen

  1. Editing should be as fast as in the CM5 editor.
  2. The log statement should not be called more frequently than the CM5 editor.

Observed behavior

The log statement in the CM6 editor produces output three or more times per keystroke. The log statement in the CM5 editor produces output just once per keystroke and with a delay.
