Hey,
is there any work already done to create custom karaf distribution with the gradle-karaf-plugin?

I started some initial work but not yet done nor on github, lack of time.
Hope to resume working on it later this month, (any help would be really appreciated)

Thanks, Luca!
Yeah, would be glad to help. I am coming from a maven world, so my groovy is in its infancy. But of cause can help with OSGi, Karaf issues and test things.
Let me know when you have some branch to look at..

PS: with respect to groovy, i have i hopes for kotlin as the future gradle dsl.

I've been interested in this for a while, as we are currently in need of creating karaf distributions but have to resort to a separate maven project for that step of the build.

When I was thinking about the implementation of the plugin it seemed like the gradle distribution plugin was a good starting point. https://docs.gradle.org/current/userguide/distribution_plugin.html

Any updates on this? I'd be willing to help as well. I sort of skipped over maven from ant directly to gradle. Rather than learn maven I'd like to focus on getting full support for this with gradle.
