Gameforge Client - Metin2 Language Issue #147
Comments
Hello @amylilaileean , could you tell me why you closed this issue? Did you resolve it? How? |
Hi. I couldn't solve the issue. I just uninstalled the game and didn't want
help anymore, so I closed the issue.

I reopened the issue. I'm still open for help. So here's what I found : first, locale.cfg and other locale related .cfg files are set for Turkish, that's why I'm able to see Turkish letters when others use it. But when I checked locales folder, there was only "en-US.pak" file which I assume that's why I can't use some Turkish letters when it comes to my input. I tried to reinstall the game, it installs en-US.pak anyway. I tried to repair files, still the same. I tried to find tr-TR.pak from the internet, I couldn't find anything. I downloaded some private servers to see if they have tr-TR.pak but they don't have it. So, at last, I sent a ticket to Gameforge and requested a tr-TR.pak file if that's possible, of course I didn't tell them that I use linux because their excuse were gonna be "Well it's because you're using linux" and wouldn't help me but this time, they can at least try to help me. So issue isn't solved yet and I still need your help besides Gameforge. |
I want to add something more. When I play Overwatch 2, it launches via battle.net client and I'm able to see "compiling shaders" text on the left bottom corner of both client and game but when it comes to gameforge client, I see "compiling shaders" text on client but not metin2. I'm not so sure but game can run separately from the client. Is it possible to make a metin2 script that won't run separately from the client if I'm right? Also a script would be fine even if "compiling shaders" text not showing on game doesn't mean it runs separately from the client, because I can't create desktop shorcut of the game, only gameforge client. So, a script for metin2 or for all the games in gameforge client would be good. |
I don't really know what I can do to help about this different issues, but I will take a look. I'm not Metin2 gamer, I do not own this game and I don't use Turkish characters, so it will be difficult for me to reproduce this issues but I will take a look. |
Thank you for your effort. I have a question. I want to contact you personally to request a game script which is not in MyLittleLutrisScripts. Can I just tell you here or is there a way to contact you? |
Hi, I'm a Turkish Metin2 player and I have some issues with some letters. When my friends text me something and when they use some Turkish letters like "ş,ç,ı,ğ" I see these letters on my screen. I'm also able to see these letters while typing something on item shop search bar but when it comes to me when I try to use these letters, they don't seem, they're changed from "ş,ç,ı,ğ" letters to "s,c,i,g" letters. I tried to change the IME to external from metin2 config file but it didn't work. I tried to install some fonts but it didn't work either. Also I assure you that changing wine versions didn't work either. So shortly, I can see Turkish letters but I can't use them. I'm using CachyOS KDE.
