Error Building/Installing Leksah on Windows 10

Trying to install leksah based on the guide for windows in the readme, after several hours of trying I am now stuck on Configuring haskell-gi-base-0.21.1... Cabal-simple_Z6RU0evB_2.0.1.0_ghc-8.2.2.exe: The pkg-config package 'gobject-2.0' version >=2.32 is required but it could not be found.
and have found no way to fix it on Windows.
