ICO Sale Percentage Analysis

Is there relationship between the percentage of tokens sold and how well a token does post market? My assumptions are yes to some extent, but there are an infinite set of confounding variables that this analysis does not take into account.

Data: scrapped from icodrops on 2/5/18, when the markets were extremely down.

TLDR

No obvious correlation... The assumption now is that if an ICO is oversubscribed it will do better post market, and it's easier to be over subscribed if an ICO finishes their cap. ICO ROI vs Percentage of Tokens Sold

Can't tell if the chart below is more telling.... Which seems to signal that if you raise less per percentage of total tokens, an ICO seems to perform better post ICO... ICO ROI vs USD Raise per Percent of Tokens Sold

TODO

  • look at pricing data from coinmarketcap via this URL, copying the pattern to get the max price of a particular ICO. Rather than using the current value from icodrops.
