Question description

At the moment lemmybb reports its software name as lemmy, so statistics sites like https://fediverse.observer or https://the-federation.info put it in the same group as all other Lemmy instances with the link aggregator frontend.

It would be very easy to change this, so that these sites will list it as lemmybb instead. This could be helpful for promotion, as more people would become aware of the project. It would also become easier to find lemmybb instances specifically.

What do you all think about this?

But this would be wrong information because LemmyBB isn't the server, Lemmy is the server.
Lemmy BB is just like lemmy-ui only a frontend

I dont think its wrong, as the ui is completely different and thats what users care most about. That the backend is identical should be clear enough as both have "lemmy" in the name. Another concrete advantage is that we could remove the instance list from the readme, and point to the-federation.info, or even list lemmybb instances separately on join-lemmy.org. So the more i think about it the more sense it makes.
