Is there a way to switch off initial visibility of some layers in mobile client?

You mean only for mobile client, but not for web client?

Yes, only for mobile.
In my project there are several layers that are initially not visible in webclient but in mobile they are turning on by default.
I don't know why...

Are the layers in group and group is off, layers are on in QGIS? Web client displays it correctly by setting layers and group off, mobile might handle this diferently. If this is the case, I will check.

After a quick investigation I can say that in mobile:

  1. all group are on the same (top) level, even if they are nested in another group (different than in Web Client)
  2. if any layer in group is checked in QGIS then the whole group will be checked in mobile (different than in Web Client)

So, I unchecked the layers in groups which I want to not load initially in mobile and it seems that it's working almost as it should be. The only thing that is a bit strange for the user is this groups nesting issue. It causes a difference between mobile and web client but it's not a big thing.

Thank you for hints Uros!

I can confirm it is issue in mobile client for initially turning on layers that are checked, but their parent layer is unchecked.
