Currently Liberapay only supports donations that don't have a specific time frame, i.e. they keep going forever unless you stop (funding) them. It could be good to add the possibility for people to launch campaigns that have a time limit, e.g. "I/we need XXX euros per week for 6 months to complete some work on my/our project".
