Overview

We want to create a comprehensive guide on developing a FOSS mission statement using the best resources out there on making these decisions in a way that's transparent and inclusive

Hey @jwflory, thanks for giving it a read! I should have been more clear in my original ticket. Below you can find my objectives for this guide. I'd find it really useful if you could give some feedback if you feel the guide is accomplishing those objectives or not. If there's anything more I can do or leave out.

Objectives for Mission Statement Guide:

  • Get reader to develop a comprehensive mission statement that reflects all members of their community.
  • Familiarize the reader with the ODF (Open Decision Framework by RedHat) in a way that's "hands on"
  • Familiarize the reader with working on problems in a way that's open and inclusive. Allowing them to compare and contract to their previous method of problem solving/decision making.

@Nolski These are solid objectives. For reference, what are you looking at for the ODF? I probably need to review that before going through this.

I'll try to follow up sometime next working week.
