The Debian packaging for LibreTime uses git-buildpackage. git-buildpackage helps in a number of ways, as it automates much of the work required when packaging software for Debian and Ubuntu. The documentation is available on the project's website

The branch structure of the repo is the following:

  • master - The currently released package in Debian unstable
  • ubuntu/xenial - the working Ubuntu Xenial package which does not follow Debian policy
  • upstream - The upstream source from LibreTime/libretime
  • pristine-tar - the tar ball builds of the upstream source

The gbp workflow is described in the documentation. There is also a detailed manual available
