Description

Hey! It's been a long time, I hope RetroArch team is doing very well!

RetroArch hangs 1 or 2 seconds if you use games that have audio tracks. I'm using .cue + .bin + .ogg

I didn't test .cue + .bin yet (i.e. without any compression in the audio tracks)

I tested in Genesis Plus GX and Beetle PCE.

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Load any .cue + .bin + .ogg game
  2. Play a little and wait to freeze 1 or 2 seconds
  3. Play Sonic CD, wait to hangs in Present/Future; go to the Past, it'll not hangs (PCM music instead audio track)

Do you have "Scan content when loading" is enabled? I'm not sure where that menu item went.

Also, this may help the situation with serial scanning too: #10291 .... Looking for more testers. Make sure you have the latest databases downloaded.

What i believe is happening here is the scanner is trying to CRC the .ogg files. It will also CRC .cso and .gcz.

I can't find this "Scan content when loading" option, is this really a thing? RetroArch or Core config?
