cannot read some heic via vips

when i resize heic file, i got error like under.

bad.heic: bad seek to 18031
heifload: bad image dimensions on decode

When i use imagemagick or heif-convert, it works well.
Is there any problem in image? or vips?

I use libvips 8.14.0 and sample image attatched
bad.heic.gz

Please ensure you're using the latest versions of both libheif and libvips as there have been multiple problems relating to this.

Yes, as you mentioned, it is same when i use latest libheif version (1.17.6)
I dont think it is corrupted image because it works with heif-convert to convert jpeg.
Is there any possible reason that vips fail with attatched image ?

I use libvips 8.14.0

Please also upgrade libvips to the latest 8.15.1

With 8.15.1, it still fails.
test file size is 18023, but error bad seek to 18031. its strange

libheif reports 426x426 but generates 448x426 for this image so this is probably something to report upstream.

$ heif-info bad.heic
