Workspaces without a .ws file extension will not load on Windows 10 #81

I was having difficulty opening a workspace that I created yesterday. It seems that, at least within Windows 10, saved workspaces without a .ws extension will be loaded as "an image" and not a workspace.
I have not tested this behaviour on other operating systems.
I am not sure how to extract the version number I am running from the application. It was not obvious to me when I did Help > About. I am running the latest Windows 8.7.0 as far as I know.

Yes, you probably do need the .ws extension, sorry.

No need to apologise. I just thought I should document the unexpected behaviour or you may never find out about it.

Thank you for providing a powerful tool to experiment with image processing.
