The final paper project aims to familiarize students with the structure and style of applied mathematics research papers, provide practical experience in replicating the results of other researchers, and highlight the relevance of course materials—lectures, homework, and computational labs—in developing the skills and knowledge necessary for applying mathematics to real-world problems.
