No, it's up to the conversation function provided by the client. |
@ldv-alt Would you mind clarifying "the client" so that the loss of this option can be reported to the right place as at least a feature request, if not an outright bug. It can be a serious accessiblity issue for some of us. Whenever I log in in a non-graphical environment or su in a terminal in x, it takes me a dozen or so attempts on average. |

Thanks. I haven't been able to figure out what package that would be, but it's a step in the direction anyway. I found a work around for su. Install sudo and then sudo su [face palm] using the user's password. That doesn't help with logging in in non-graphical environment though. |
There are multiple such packages also depending on which distribution you use - the main ones are util-linux and shadow. |
