Spotify systray icon disappearance #1272
Comments
Can you please check if this issue persists in latest Cinnamon 2.2 (Mint 17) ? Please close the defect otherwise. |
@mtwebster - Suggest closure due to inactivity. This must have been fixed anyways except the below, which is anyways available as another issue
|
This Bug seems to be a thin in the latest version as well (I'm using the version from the Arch Repository, which should be always latest) . I suppose to add a option to bring the playing app ( or spotify in particular ) in front either by clicking a designated open dialog or by clicking on the album art |
This is not an issue anymore. Spotify can be controlled through the sound applet, and hiding the icon is now optional. @mrlemux You can bring the current player to the front by pressing the up arrow between forward skip and close on the media control buttons of the sound applet. |
The Spotify Preview Application used to have a tray icon in previous releases of cinnamon 1.3.1 and previous. Since 1.6.0 this icon no longer appears. The application has been integrated into the music applet however there is no way to control the application from here, if spotify is closed there is no way to reaccess the application. Cover art and play time also doesnt work. The up arrow will not reopen the application. Fixing the systray icon or the music app would be appreciated.
