Cinnamenu@json unable to create desktop launchers

Issue
When right clicking on any app icon in Cinnamenu and choosing "Add to desktop" nothing happens.
"Pin to panel" works with gwl and wl, and I'm able to add to favourites.

Steps to reproduce
Right click on any icon in Cinnamenu and choose "add to desktop"

Expected behaviour
A launcher for the chosen program on the desktop

Other information
I'm able to add launchers to the desktop with the built in menu of Cinnamon
