Currently, the debian/watch file contains:

http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/mdm/2.20/mdm- etc.
... but no such folder path exists at ftp.gnome.org

url must be https://github.com/linuxmint/mdm/tags .*/(\d[\d.]+).tar.gz

Many thanks for contributing to MDM. As this issue isn't preventing MDM from working and Linux Mint has moved to use LightDM and Linux Mint's Slick Greeter, I'm closing this issue for now.
