In some circumstances theres a problem with writing a bunch of zeroing files to the ntfs filesystem. We found the best workaround would be, to write just one file. In addition to that I updadet the build process to use PV to pipe the dd process through so we get a nice output of the speed and progress of zeroing the disk.
