Is it possible to add custom file icons to the tree view?

Hello! From a quick glance it seems that Lite-XL has 26 product icons in total, all stored as glyphs in /data/fonts/icons.ttf. Currently, only one of these glyphs is being used as a file icon in the tree view. This is a sane default, but I'd love the option to map multiple custom file icons to specific file names/extensions for improved visual grepping.

For example, I'd like to associate an "archive" file icon with file extensions such as .zip, .rar, and .7z, and a "config" file icon with file names such as makefile, package.json, and dockerfile, and so on...

The way VS Code achieves this works well, see here and see here for two examples of an icon-theme.json file.

Is something like this currently possible in Lite-XL? Thanks!

Look at the nonicons and nerdicons plugins. Those should do what you want.

Thanks! I added USERDIR.."/fonts/nonicons.ttf" and USERDIR.."/plugins/nonicons.lua" and nonicons are now working! Should be easy to figure out how to create my own icon theme from here.

By the way, what is this chart-line icon for in the status bar? I can't figure it out.
