Exposing DweebUI to the Internet

lllllllillllllillll edited this page Jan 15, 2024 · 1 revision

⚠️ DweebUI is management interface with a high level of access, and should not be directly exposed to the internet. ⚠️

External access should be done through VPN or SSH (with key exchange).

A reverse proxy is required to ensure you have a secure connection and that passwords aren't being transmitted in plaintext. As shown with the lock icon:

secure

(Recommended: Nginx Proxy Manager)

If you choose to expose DweebUI to the internet, please ensure you've set a very long registration secret, and that you monitor Syslogs for failed sign-in attempts.
