It would be really handy to have a yajl.pc pkg-config file installed with libyajl.

I added that in my fork soon I'll complete the autotool support for the provided tools/examples.

Seconded. Detecting whether I am dealing with version 1 or version 2 is pretty hard, compared to projects providing a pkgconfig file. Please add one ASAP so that we are not in the same situation when the API breaks next time ;). Thanks.
