Hi all.

Is it possible to use SSO when use nginx as a reverse proxy with alfresco?

I partly use the project for reverse proxy, it works, but SSO - not working...

I'll glad if you read this link: https://forums.alfresco.com/forum/installation-upgrades-configuration-integration/authentication-ldap-sso/sso-doesnt-work

@GusevVictor I haven't checked your nginx config yet but I've seen in the forum that you're now running with apache and mod_jk.
Independant from your Kerberos issue, we switched a year ago from nginx to apache because we didn't find a stabile way to pass all required HTTP methods for WebDAV/SPP thru nginx. Did you address this?

I had problem with webdav too when I use nginx. It was a strange behaivor with https in Windows webdav client. Also, nginx as s reverse proxy is a bad idea because tomcat can communicate with apache by special fast proto (mod_jk). I have read about speed, and it is a good solution in any manner rather than reverse proxy. I don't have any problem with mod_jk

Best regards,
Victor.

Closing this as it has not been reported as an issue further. If nginx does not meet the needs, Apache and mod_jk can be installed and used separately.

Just a site note: we went back from apache to nginx because it scales much better (incl. caching). To solve the WebDAV issue we compiled our own nginx version having dav proxy support which is not included by default. I will put config & howtos into https://github.com/ecm4u/alfresco-reverse-proxy in the next days
