Hi there !

I'd like to know if you would like to add a simple Q&A thread type ? It would be perfect when you have questions to ask to your team and you try to see what is the best answer.

Thank you for your answer !

Hm, my vision for this use case would be the following:

  • Start a 'brainstorm' (not yet implemented), asking a question of your group
(NB: a brainstorm is a poll type which allows participants to add their own options, rather than voting on existing ones)
  • Take the responses from that poll, and convert it to a 'poll' or a 'dot vote', and ask your group members to vote on the responses to see which is best

It's currently a medium priority to build a brainstorm poll type... not sure that I can give a date for when it will happen, but I think it will happen (and I am excited to build it.)

I was thinking more like when you post something in a forum, people can easily give points for the best answer (like stackoverflow actually). It allows to add proposition even if others have already voted. And the best answer goes straight below the first post.

But maybe your solution is a good one, I can't tell for now ;) I need to test.

Hope it will get here soon !

This should be coming in Loomio in 2020. There is a good architecture for people to choose how the comments in the thread are ordered, and ordering by up/down votes is something I'd like to support.
