Modpage
Recent Pull request that added a wild edit tag for it to the masterlist

In the past, LOOT's masterlist featured the msg: [ *doNotClean ] message for Guard Dialogue Overhaul, which we removed in the end (reasons are to be found in the "old posts"). Since then, no new version of GDO has been uploaded (and the author of GDO still writes on his modpage Do Not clean with TES5Edit !).

We now added the *hasWildEdits message for GDO to Skyrims masterlist, so now actually advise to clean the mod (while we previously advised to NOT clean).

I think this information comes from the user "thetrader" on GDO's comment section on Nexus. He writes:

This mod contains a "hidden" ITM that must be removed because it blocks a fix from the unofficial patches. The record in question is WICastMagic03 [QUST:000167D3]. Guard Dialogue Overhaul applies the same bug fix to the record as Update.esm (supposedly because GDO fixed the bug first and didn't remove it, once it was fixed in an official patch). TES5Edit registers this edit as an override and thus fails to automatically clean it.

This isn't an intentional overwrite by GDO. The unofficial patches fixed this bug after the last update to GDO.

How to clean:
Fortunately TES5Edit can automatically clean this "hidden" ITM with a small change to the standard cleaning procedure. Before you choose "Apply Filter For Cleaning", you must right-click Skyrim.esm and tick the "Hidden" option. Then you can proceed normally and "Remove "Identical to Master" records" will remove only this one ITM.
Alternatively you can just manually remove WICastMagic03 [QUST:000167D3].

I'll have to have a look at GDO first before answering that. Will get to it in the morning some time.

Any update on this?

@SiddVar The SSE Versions have removed that edit to WICastMagic03 [QUST:000167D3].
So I think it should be removed from the LE version as well if you're using USLEEP.

Since the original Skyrim version continues to have the mentioned wild edit, I think the *hasWildEdits message in our masterlist can stay. I'm closing this issue.
