This project is very useful, but it looks like it is no longer maintained.

The most basic and most useful function is to paste the start and end timestamps for each word.
If you see a project with similar functions on GitHub, please share it here and let everyone know, thank you.

Refer here to get a copy of everything edited to take out all the bugs.
Then install the dependencies as it instructs you. Few posts down

aeneas seems to be one of the most well-known force-aligners for Python with support for multiple languages.

However, there are other projects that can also do transcription and word-level timestamps (e..g, faster-whisper)

I'm personally using faster-whisper for an initial automatic transcription, and then a forced-aligner to sync word timestamps after a user corrects a segment.

Does this method work on Windows?

If you're on Windows, just install Docker Desktop and then within Docker use the official Gentle Docker image.
