All this looks pretty good. My only minor complaint is that the commit messages could be a little more verbose, on why changes were made, or what benefit it has. Its not supper critical as this is just changes to test code, but better messages does make just reading through history easier.
Make checkPersistence work for more cases by adding a bbox argument. This is needed for TAN-SIP and other WCS that have valid inverses over a restricted range.
