Making id work as a derived component proved tricky because of how metadata is handled (both here and in afw). Disassembly works if id is made a standalone component instead.
The new comment includes the ticket number after which it becomes obsolete.

This PR adds unit tests for the
exposure.idButler component added on #394. It also makes some minor changes to bring the code in line with lsst/daf_butler#594.
