About This Project

This project was built as a portfolio / just for fun project. The project contains the following features:

• Home page with popular, upcoming & recommended movies.
• Show movie page with cast, related movies and watch trailer modal.
• Search movie page to find a movie.

This project was built using:

• PHP / Laravel / Blade templating engine.
• Vue.js
• tailwindcss
• themoviedb API.

Installing The Project Locally

• Clone the repo & run composer install
• Generate a app key using php artisan key:generate
• Copy the .env.example to .env
• Create an account / request an api key from themoviedb API
• Enter the api key in the env file TMDB_API_KEY=YOUR_API_KEY
• Serve the application with php artisan serve
