Is this after selecting compare, or are you looking at the same doc in split-screen?

I tested this with a document split-screen, and while I do not see the split being removed I do see that it thinks the file is opened twice.
This must be a result of how the buffer and the editor and not technically the same, and I'll see if I can make this a bit smarter. However, it was built to be attached to editors and this would require a large change.
