Privacy Policy
This document states the privacy policy of the app named Sunrise and Sunset Times (abbreviated as the App below). The App is developed and provided by Wing Chung Leung (abbreviated as the Developer below).
The App access your precise location, which is needed to calculate the sunrise and sunset times.
The Developer does not collect, store or process any data accessed by the App.
In order to show a map in the App, your precise location is sent to map tile servers provided by Open Street Map Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom (short OSMF), which are located in the United Kingdom and in other countries. The developer of the App has no control over the processing of your data by the OSMF. You can find more information on the processing of user data by the OSMF in the OSMF privacy policy.
The map discussed above is shown as a visual feedback so users can easily know that they are reading the sunrise and sunset times of the correct location.
For the purpose of GDPR compliance, the above use of precise location is a “legitimate interest” as defined in article 6.1f of the GDPR.
All communication from the App and third parties are encrypted.
Since personal data is not collected by the Developer, there is no data retention and deletion policy.
