While I have enjoyed researching and putting this plugin together, this was only possible because I had access to a Dremel 3d printer through my high school. Now that I have graduated I no longer will have physical access to a Dremel printer. I have contacted 3PI to see if they can provide me a printer to continue the development.

I can take over this. I developed all 3 Dremel printers.

Hey @lukasmwerner ! long time no see! I still have the 3D20 and 3D45 and have been actively "hacking" on them.

3D20 is getting the Klipper treatment, since it's source code was hacked.

3D45... I've hacked on the firmware to find several never-published url commands and a few additional Gcode commands (all added to the public dremel-3d45 google doc we all used for reference). However, I don't have much time to frack with this thing any longer due to the limited gcode commands and "bugs" in the firmware, especially with the latest firmware update.

Feel free to add me as an admin/contributor as well and I can keep the lights on. However, I don't have much time to contribute.

I will be releasing more of the source code for the 3D40 and 3D45

I am getting the official Dremel3D repos setup that I will manage and maintain. Should be released in Q4 this year.

@metalman3797 Official Dremel3D repos? Humm, do tell, please!

What kind of firmware would we expect? The 3D20 has been, hacked, and the 3d45 has serious firmware issues we've love to fix.

I ask because I am currently reverse engineering the 3D45 ARM firmware and could use some help.

I'm borderline on ripping out the board and PSU, and installing a 24V PSU and BTT board and just being done (will require a new hotend design and print, but I'm looking forward to do that as well!).

But, if we can fix the 3D45 firmware... This would be huge. Feel free to hit me up for current status of 3D20 / 3D45 firmware and the current community hacks/requirements we are doing. I've got my finger on the pulse on most of this overall.

My username is on twitter and is the same for my gmail.

It would be the latest build source code. There is a lot of room for improvement on the 3D40/3D45 for sure. Now that I an no longer restrained by the same Bosch/Dremel constraints, there will be much more updates and improvements coming to the printers.

Ill contact you shortly to talk more.
