Starting monitor Mode:

airmon-ng start wlan0

Result of airmon-ng:

wlan0           Realtek RTL8187L        rtl8187 - [phy7]
mon0            Realtek RTL8187L        rtl8187 - [phy7]

Start reaver:
reaver -i mon0 -b 00:18:E7:F9:DF:22

Here comes the Error Message:

You need to run it with sudo.

sudo reaver -i mon0 -b 00:18:E7:F9:DF:22

Yes, Reaver needs root privileges.

as root, works on ath5k...  as root ath9k_htc usb wna 1100 gets this error and 
stops working promptly.  i believe it to be a bug in either aircrack or drivers.

my prism54g doesnt do much either.  ath5k has been a champion.
