I like the vertical tabs, way more efficient. Or so I thought (?) Is there a way to suppress, collapse, or turn off horizontal tabs while i am running vertical tabs? If so, how? Is it using a flags feature?

If you're on Mac, you can move Chrome into full screen mode. You can also choose wether to show the toolbar or not from the View -> Always show tollbar in full screen. Shortcut is CMD + SHIFT + F
