How's it going? I see you've added more stuff to the demo app. How far are you from creating a more usable app?

Something that is missing is the ability to achieve bracked images in a continous faschion WITHOUT the camera dropping to 12-bit precision mode which it does for every continous modes for all Sony cameras available.

How hard/easy would it be to create a BASE + 1 EV, 2EV, 3EV, -1EV, -2EV, -3EV etc but do that in single shot mode (automatically) to prevent that 12-biit mode?

Do you know of any way to test whether or not a RAW is 12 bit?

The way to test it would be to use something like RAW-digger but any continous mode or special mode such as silent mode (A7r II) triggers it. That's why one need to shoot in the "single-shot-mode" even if one is bracketing.

JIm Kasson has written a lot about this topic such as this:

Another more simple way to test it is just to check the file size. Compressed RAW's from ie the A7r II is around 42MB while uncompressed RAW's are around 80-84MB.

I could not get the PMCA demo to actually fire shots on my A7r II but some other apps that i test uses the function burstableTakePicture() and since any sort of automated mode (such as burst) would cause the camera to go into its 'lo-fi' mode it could have something to do with that.

compressed vs uncompressed RAW
First is comressed via a OpenMemories app, the one after is just after exiting the app and taking a photo.
