Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the logo and logotype for the Klo-GBA.JS project!
Logotype
We will start with the logotype. Everything started with a quick sketch, just doing tests with the letters.
In the second sketch details were added, such as the two traces on the side of the letter face. I noticed that in the font used in the Klonoa game logo these two traces alternate from top to bottom alternately, being odd on top, and pair on bottom. But the main change is in the letter "G", which I used the same swirl graphic style used in the "O" of the official font of Klonoa.
I also did a digital version just by manipulating the official font in Photoshop.
After this first test, I presented in the issues 4 different versions of the logotype, representing the main games of the series Klonoa. It was a public acceptance test, in which the "Klonoa 2: Dream Champion Tournament" won. In it were made changes in which we arrived at the final result.Logo
Let's focus on the logo now.
I had first made a Sketch using as inspiration the drawing produced by Gabriela Bezerra.
This first test I made the hat based on what Klonoa wore in his Nintendo Wii game. But I decided to be more loyal to the base game of the project and changed the hat design to what Klonoa used in GBA games.
The final result we have a hat where Pacman is a color palette, the same used by Klonoa in the drawing I had done for Empty State.
