I cannot edit files on my NTFS-formatted volume or copy new file to the volume. What's wrong?

macFUSE is a building block and provides a software development kit for developing file systems. It can be used for developing third-party file systems capable of accessing NTFS-formatted volumes. Please note that macFUSE on its own does not allow you to access NTFS-formatted volumes.

What you are looking for is an actual NTFS file system implementation, for example NTFS-3G. NTFS-3G is a cross-platform software and relies on macFUSE on macOS. Please note that NTFS-3G and macFUSE are independent projects. Providing support for accessing NTFS-formatted volumes is beyond the scope of the macFUSE project.
