Linux PDF export and Fonts

To export to pdf on Linux using the iTextSharp back end you must have mscore fonts package installed.

ubuntu and debian:

  • ttf-mscorefonts-installer

Fedora:

  • msttcore-fonts - you need to add a 3rd party repository?

MS core fonts will not install in Debian Wheezy x64:

From: https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/ttf-mscorefonts-installer

NOTE: the package fonts-liberation contains free variants of the Times, Arial and Courier fonts. It's better to use those instead unless you specifically need one of the other fonts from this package.

fonts-liberation fonts have same metrics as Times, Arial and Courier. So maybe they can used, they are installed usually in Debian.
