How it works?

Lingo Letter draws inspiration from the TELC B1 German Exam. In the TELC exam, one of the tasks is to compose a response to a given letter within 30 minutes. Essentially, Lingo Letter serves as a simulator for TELC letter assignments.

Currently, Lingo Letter supports the following languages:

  • 🇬🇧 English
  • 🇪🇸 Spanish
  • 🇫🇷 French
  • 🇩🇪 German
  • 🇮🇹 Italian
  • 🇵🇹 Portuguese

⚠️ Lingo Letter is a browser-only app. You'll need to set your own OpenAI API key.

Contributing

You're more than welcome to contribute. In fact, I'm really looking forward to it! 🚀

Some ideas:

  • Add a new language you want to practice
  • Calculate success score (for example, in TELC B1 German exam one needs to write at least 2-3 complex sentences using past tense)
  • Add audio
  • %YOUR_IDEA%

Just make sure to check out the contribution guidelines. 🙏

Development

You'll need to install dependencies and start a dev server:

npm install

npm start

You'll find the running version at http://localhost:3018.

Testing

Nothing fancy:

npm test
